Standard or regular inflatable pipe plugs should not be used in applications where oil, gasoline or other petrochemical fluids are in contact with the plug. The materials of these plugs do not have adequate resistance to chemical attack from these fluids. Instead, PlugCo recommends using its special Gas Test Plugs constructed of high-quality nitrile rubber which has excellent resistance to petrochemicals.
